Rylan Cade Stephenson, age 8, the son of John R. and Chynna T. (Simmons) Stephenson of Wasp Road, North Kingstown, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Rylan and his family moved to North Kingstown in January of this year. He had been a student at Roebuck Elementary School in Roebuck, SC.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Jordyn S. Stephenson; his maternal grandparents, Christopher T. Simmons of South Carolina and Katherine (Smith) Teague of North Kingstown; his paternal grandparents, Bruce G. Stephenson, Sr. and MaryRose (DiMauro) Stephenson of Warwick; a maternal great-grandmother, Barbara Smith of Graycourt, SC; a paternal great-grandmother, Betty Ormsbee of Warwick; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 10 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
