What if you were 100?

Wednesday was the 100th day of school for Warwick students and kindergarten and first grade students throughout the district observed the event with exercises using 100. Greenwood School kindergarten teacher Beverly Zartarian added a twist to the exercise using an app to show her students what they could look like if they lived to 100. There were gasps, giggles and shrieks as she called up each student and gave them a poster. Some of the 100 related activities included making a paper chain with 100 links, describing what they would buy if they had one hundred dollars and doing 100 hops. One of the most challenging tests, Zartarian said, was being silent for 100 seconds. Here, Ireland Usler reacts to her depiction at 100; she’ll have a few years before learning if it is accurate.
