Holliman School fifth graders Emma and Lauren Laplume display the giant heart the class of teacher Beth Anne Rafinelli created to commemorate 100 days of school. The heart was covered with paper cutouts to record the more than 100 things they learned and did since the beginning of school. (Warwick Beacon photo)

Wonderful idea of teacher Beth Anne Rafinelli. Very positive.
Teachers like her deserve a contract. Working without one for going on 2 years is a slap in the face. The School Committee, City Council, Warwick Teachers Union, parents, taxpayers etc. can't demand terms of the contract but we all should demand that the parties involved meet every day, all day, until there is one.
This has gone on too long.
Happy Spring everyone.
