Despite Monday’s torrid temperatures, Ken Diodati, a staffer with the Johnston Public Schools maintenance department, uses his trowel to remove grass and weeds from the curbing at Johnston Senior High School, where he also applied a fresh coat of yellow caution paint by hand along the entire sidewalk.
