On Oct. 8, Friends of Pawtuxet Village, organized the annual Autumn Hayride, which left the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet parking lot and proceeding through the village starting at 9:30 a.m. until noon. At the same time, the second annual American Craft Week Artisans Fair was held in the upper parking lot. All the artists and artisans are locals who display and sell their work in Edgewood and Pawtuxet Village. Both events were held during the Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market, which opens every Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon through the first weekend in November. Above, mares Girl and Ebony from Whispering Winds Farm in Chepachet gave rides to visitors. The farm is owned by rig driver Pat Mann, who is also pictured. At left, eager visitors are seen aboard one of the hayrides. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
