When life gets crazy, as it often does, sometimes all you need to still your busied mind is the comfort of something wholesome, and homemade, and familiar. A warm bowl of soup. A steamy cup of chili. A meatball sandwich with your mother's red sauce. A good old-fashioned sandwich with crispy lettuce and fresh turkey - nothing fancy, just the basics. When you can't make it home, then find the goodness and comfort of home cooking in the kitchen of the Sandwich Junction, right here in Warwick.

Sandwich Junction is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving up fresh wholesome lunch food for over 35 years. Alex and Nancy Longiaru first opened the place in 1977, and in 1990, their daughter Kathy and her husband Craig Ruginski took over the business. Today, mother-daughter team Nancy and Kathy work side by side to bring you all the flavors, fresh ingredients and comforts of home. Along with their loyal team of helpers and cooks, this cozy "train stop along the tracks" is serving up the best in homemade hot and cold sandwiches (made to order), soups, salads, side dishes and daily specials.

Made with the freshest of ingredients, you will find every classic sandwich combination of meats and cheeses - served both hot and cold. Along with their extensive regular menu, check out their many daily specials such as the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with chicken, lettuce, tomato, and buffalo & bleu cheese dressing on a bulkie roll or the Boar's Head ® Mesquite Smoked Beef Brisket with melted pepperjack cheese and BBQ sauce. It doesn't get any better than this (well, the Baked Ham and Melted Swiss sandwich is pretty awesome too!)

The winter days are not yet behind us, and so why not come in and take the chill off with a hot bowl of Sandwich Junction's signature Chicken with Rice soup, or their flavor and spice-packed Chili. There is something to fit your every craving here.

At Sandwich Junction, everything is not only fresh, it is also very affordable. Most of these offerings are under $8.00, to say nothing of the list of tasty side orders and items from the grill and fryer such as a succulent burger (always worth the wait) or tender, crispy onion rings. Best of all are their indulgent homemade desserts, including their double chocolate chip cookies, Whoopie pies, "meltaway brownies" (with toasted coconut flakes) and their ever popular "Blueberry Dreams".

Come cozy up at the Sandwich Junction, located at 86 Kilvert Street, off Post Road between Sovereign Bank and Wendy's, two blocks north of the airport. Hours are Monday through Friday 10 am to 4 pm.
