Saving for college, managing finances topic of library series

Discover how to save for college and manage personal finances at three Money Smart Week events at the Warwick Public Library on Tuesday and Thursday, May 3 and 5 at 7 p.m.

On May 3, explore how to Finance a Higher Education. Learn about the FAFSA application process, Federal Education Grants, State Education Grants, managing student debt, scholarships, and work-study at a seminar by William Bianchi from the College Planning Center of Rhode Island.

CollegeBoundfund and CollegeBoundbaby Grant are topics on May 5. Dana Peterson-Fatuda, administrator of CollegeBoundfund will provide overviews of Rhode Islands 529 college savings plan and the $100 CollegeBoundbaby Grant. Bianchi of the College Planning Center of Rhode Island will also talk about budgeting, basic finances, banking, credit, and identity theft.
