Shirley A. (Howland) Abrahamson, age 75, of Falcon Avenue, Warwick, and formerly of Broom Street, Providence, passed away at home on Thursday, August 4. She was the wife of the late Roger Williams Park Ranger William R. Abrahamson.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Ruth E. (Clark) Howland, she grew up in Warwick, and lived in Providence for many years, returning to Warwick in 2006.

She is survived by three sons: William R. Abrahamson, Jr. of Warwick, James A. Abrahamson of Smithfield, and David J. Abrahamson of Warwick; two daughters, Cathy A. Abrahamson of Cranston and Shirley A. Abrahamson of Warwick; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Ruth Tabora, John Howland, and Robin Leon, all of Providence; and the late Isabelle Estrada and Mary Vorbau. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Linda Remarski and her husband, Mike, Ramona Estrada and her husband Armando, and Jeffrey Estrada.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, at 9 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. www.barrettandcotter.com
