Solarize Warwick deeadline extended to Nov. 30

Posted

At the request of Warwick residents and City administrators, the Solarize Warwick program will be extended until November 30, giving residents an additional eight weeks to sign up and sign a contract to go solar.

“SolarFlair has recently seen increased interest around the Solarize Warwick Program and we're happy to extend the pricing and accommodate all Warwick residents that are interested in solar for their home or business," said Dan Barnett, Sales Manager for SolarFlair in a statement.

SolarFlair, Warwick’s chosen solar installer, is offering Warwick residents discounted pricing combined with state and federal incentives. When combined, the Solarize Warwick incentives can cover up to 50 percent of the cost of each project. Warwick residents can also take advantage of a zero-down solar loan and a tiered-pricing incentive which lowers the price of solar as more people sign up. Program organizers anticipate that Tier 3 will be reached so that all participants will receive the lowest pricing that the program has to offer.

Residents will have a chance to meet the Solarize Warwick team each Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Warwick Central Library. To sign up, view program information or find Solarize Warwick events, go to www.solarizeri.com/Warwick or call 349-3475.

The program was created through a partnership between the Office of Energy Resources, Commerce RI and the non-profit organization SmartPower to encourage the adoption of solar using the power of group purchasing and a grass-roots community outreach plan. Warwick is one of eleven municipalities to participate in this statewide initiative which is responsible for over 350 new solar installations in the state since 2014.
