St. David’s on the Hill celebrates Epiphany

Posted

The Sunday School students at St. David’s on the Hill helped to mark St. David’s celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, often known as Three Kings Day or the Feast of Three Kings, by performing their annual Epiphany Pageant on Sunday, Jan. 5. It was a team effort between the students, Sunday school teachers and several parishioners, bringing the pageant to fruition this year. The biblical story of the Epiphany details the three kings’ journey to visit Mary, Joseph and the new baby, Jesus, in Bethlehem. The feast marks the end of the 12 Days of Christmas and begins the new liturgical season of Epiphany, which started Jan. 6. (Text and photos by Jen Cowart)
