Fresh off its state championship past weekend, the good news kept pouring in for the Warwick girls’ hockey team. All-Division teams were announced, and the Lady Titans were well-represented.
Junior defenseman Abby Ellis and sophomore forward Madison Balutowski were both named to First-Team All-Division I for their efforts. Balutowski was the state’s leading scorer this year, while Ellis was a solid offensive contributor while also serving as perhaps the state’s most consistent defenseman.
Joining those two on the first team were La Salle’s Michaela McNamara and Emily Coughlin, Mount St. Charles’s Briana Castro and Bay View goaltender Britney Evangelista.
Warwick had two more players on the second team, as freshman goaltender Gabriella Dicomitis made the cut after her MVP performance in the state title series. Junior defenseman Savannah Hersey also was named to the team.
Sophomore forward Kelsey Holmes was honored with a third-team nod, while freshman Natasha Savage and sophomore Caroline Henn received honorable mention.
Ellis received a second honor as well, as she was Warwick’s recipient of the Bill Nangle Leadership Award.
