Once again, as happened last spring, Greenwood students under the guidance of teacher Cheryl Stacy and the assistance of gardener Mary O’Toole and financial help from the PTA spend a good part of Friday beautifying school grounds. Stacy’s plan is to do one side of the school each year while sprucing up the area(s) completed in the prior year(s). This year it was the south side of the school with classes getting into the act to build gardens, plant flowers and shrubs and then mulch the beds. According to PTA President Kathleen Usler, about $1,000 was budgeted for the project.
