Conimicut residents not only had a party Saturday but raised $5,500 that will underwrite the cost of decorating and caring for West Shore Road with flags and flowers for another season. The hanging flower planters and flags will be going up Memorial Day weekend, said Ginny Barham, president of the Conimicut Village Association. The annual spring fling was held at St. Benedict Church hall with Louise Franco and his family along with Pastor Roland Simoneau (pictured) assisting a sumptuous fare. Barham attributed the success of the fling in part to the generosity of many whose silent auction items raised so much. The evening included trivia questions about Conimicut that had people guessing and, as seen above, some fun music for dancing. (Warwick Beacon photos)
