Thanks to Team RWB of Rhode Island and the Middletown Home Depot, West Bay Retirement Living has a flagpole in front of the building on West Shore Road. The flagpole was dedicated in services yesterday morning attended by the 33 veterans living at West Bay that included comments from Mayor Scott Avedisian and Team RWB Rhode Island captain Scott Gamble. Pasco Fraraccio, 99, pictured here with Rosalee Malaby, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Fraraccio a Navy veteran of World Ward II raised the flag. The Surface Warfare Officers’ School Color Guard performed presentation and retirement of the colors. With 170 members in Rhode Island, Team RWB seeks to integrate those leaving military service back into the community. In addition to helping make possible projects like that at West Bay, the team holds social events and participates in community activities such as the CVS Downtown 5K to bring veterans and the community together.
