St. Gregory the Great Parish in Warwick concludes its Adult Faith Formation series on Tuesday, May 10 in the church hall with “The Ten Commandments.” The session will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Led by Deacon Dr. Paul Kirk, this session will center on the role of the Ten Commandments and an exploration of how three of the Commandments treat our relationship with God, while seven others concern our relationships with one another. The Ten Commandments were given by God to Moses around 1280 BC and represent the moral teachings of Israel. They have come down to Christianity as part of Divine Revelation. The Church sees in them the totality of the negative and positive moral law: the things we should not do as well as the things we should do.

Dr. Kirk was ordained to Permanent Diaconate in 2002 and received an M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Providence College in 2003. He has served as a catechist in St. Gregory’s RCIA program for 25 years. He received a B.A. in Philosophy and English from St. Vincent College and a DDS from Georgetown University.

This is the final session that takes a closer look at all aspects of the Church and more fully explores our Catholic faith. To register for this session or for more information, please contact St. Gregory the Great Parish Office at 884-1666. If you have previously registered for this series, you will not have to register for the upcoming session.
