Pilgrim Principal Pamela Bernardi Danika Wayss If you want to talk to Pilgrim Senior Danika Wayss you will have to run pretty fast to keep up with her as she is ranked 8th in the state representing Pilgrim's Cross Country team. Danika has served as Captain of the cross country team as well as indoor and outdoor track. She is the recipient of the Wilma Rudolph Track award for sportsmanship and the Columbia Book award. She is a very conscientious, hardworking and dedicated student as exemplified by her demanding academic schedule and her high GPA. When she is not studying or running she volunteers in her spare time coaching elementary students, playing the piano and painting. She plans on attending college in the fall and hopes to compete on a collegiate track team. She truly is running after her dreams. Best of Luck Danika! We are so proud of you.

Vets Principal Gerry Habershaw Kyle DiCarlo Kyle is an excellent student. He ranks 5th in the senior class and has performed at a high level in his Technology Education classes. As a matter of fact, Kyle chose to sacrifice his class rank in order to experience hands-on classes. Kyle felt it was more important to not only by "academically intelligent" but to also have knowledge in real world hand skills. Kyle is a motivated hard worker. He has made it a point to improve his communication skills and has demonstrated it by taking charge in class to organize his team members to work more efficiently. He works tirelessly to complete anything he starts. Kyle has also been a member of the Robotics Team, Science Club and Math League. Beyond school Kyle works at the Aldrich Mansion and performs various construction related jobs and has a passion for cooking. Upon graduation, Kyle plans on entering the Air Force.

Toll Gate Principal Stephen Chrabaszcz Courtney Jacobsen Diligent and driven, Courtney has worked hard to become an elite student-athlete at Toll Gate. Carrying multiple Advanced Placement classes, Courtney is currently ranked 13th in her senior class. Courtney's outstanding first quarter grades are again an example of the continuous hard work that she has exhibited throughout her high school career. Athletically, Courtney has put herself in a category that few other Rhode Islanders have been in. She is currently ranked #1 Nationally in the female hammer throw. This distinction, along with her previous throwing success has earned her a 4 year track and field scholarship to the University of Michigan. Courtney signed her national letter of intent to attend Michigan on Thursday, November 12.

Career Center Principal William McCaffrey Daniel Carter Daniel Carter is a level two student in the Cisco Networking Academy. This year he will be preparing himself for the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician's certification exam. Recently, his team competed in round one of the CyberPatriot networking competition against 2800 teams nationally. The Cyber Patriot is a national youth cyber defense competition sponsored by the National Guard. His team has been selected to compete in round two this December. Next year Dan plans on pursing his studies in networking at Johnson & Wales University or New England Institute of Technology.

Aldrich Principal John Livsey Emma Corcoran Emma Corcoran is a 7th grader at Aldrich Junior High School on Team All Stars. She is a hard worker who always puts forth her best effort. Emma is consistently willing to provide assistance to her classmates. Her helpful manner is a natural extension of her positive attitude toward learning.

Gorton Principal Jeffrey Taylor Gorton Principal Jeffrey Taylor Greta Shuster Greta Shuster is currently the best academic student at Gorton Junior High School. With first quarter report cards to soon be released, she currently has the highest average grade. An honors student in grade 7, Greta is an excellent student who goes above and beyond each and every day. Greta is a positive role model incorporating Gorton's three R's Respect, Responsibility and Readiness.

Winman Principal Joanne Pelletier Dylan Grayson This week's student of the week is a student who tends to fly under the radar, but his quiet confidence and great smile make him stand out. He's a hard worker in class and a great friend to his classmates. Dylan Grayson is an 8th grader at Winman Jr. High. Dylan is a very conscientious student, full of school spirit and excited to learn. Whether participating in routine class work or brand new lessons or experiments, he is always willing to give it 100%. He is an asset to our class and the Winman community.
