To the Editor:
When the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) previously searched for a new president, I and several others recommended that they appoint the airport’s acting president, Peter Frazier. The board had no ear for the community and went out and found a candidate who swiftly leveraged his Rhode Island experience into a big California job. Now the acting president, Peter Frazier, is once again on the short list of candidates. The board should recognize this Rhode Island public servant as a talented and dedicated community organizer and airport executive – and hire him. We know him, who he is, and what he stands for. And it’s all good stuff. Let’s cut through the usual costly and time-consuming dithering and put him into the position that will help all of us.
