Timothy R. O’Brien Sr., 53, a Warwick resident since 1993, died March 12, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Michelle M. (Robertson) O’Brien.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Eileen (Lacroix) O’Brien. Mr. O’Brien was employed as a driver by the Warwick Beacon and by the Diocese of Providence until his illness. A Eucharistic minister at Saint Edward Church in Providence, he also served as the sexton of the parish until his illness.
Besides his wife he is survived by his beloved children, Erin M. O’Brien of Pompano Beach, Fla., Timothy R. O’Brien Jr. of Boston, Mass. and Adam M. O’Brien of Warwick. He was the brother of Donald O'Brien of Pawtucket, Howard O'Brien of Burke, Va., Eileen Pennacchia of Johnston and the late John and Michael O’Brien. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held March 16 at 6 p.m. in Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home between 4-6 p.m. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial March 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett.
