The Toll Gate girls’ swim team improved to 3-0 on Thursday with a 54-21 win over rival Warwick Vets at McDermott Pool.

The Titans were paced by Athena Sampalis, Wenona Alexander and Alyssa O’Keefe, who each won two individual events while swimming on the 200 free and 200 individual medley relay teams that claimed first, as well.

Toll Gate dominated from start to finish, taking first place in 10 of 11 events at the meet.

Emma Seidenberg won the 50 free for the Titans, while O’Keefe won the 100 backstroke and 200 free, Alexander won the 100 butterfly and 500 free and Sampalis won the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.

The only first-place finisher for the ’Canes was Kylie Sheppard, who outpaced the field in the 100 free.

The team of Alexander, Sampalis, O’Keefe and Seidenberg won the 200 free and 200 individual medley relays, and the team of Emily Langevin, Hannah Tillotson, Kasey Moorehead and Veronica Weaver combined to close the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay.

Toll Gate was looking to move to 4-0 at Rogers on Monday, but results were unavailable at press time. It will also host Mt. Hope on Thursday at McDermott Pool at 5:30 p.m.

Vets, on the other hand, was looking to bounce back on Monday when it hosted Shea, but results from that meet were unavailable at press time too. The ’Canes will travel to Rogers for a 7 p.m. meet on Thursday.
