Trimble named COO at Saint Elizabeth Community

Matthew Trimble has been promoted to chief operating officer of Saint Elizabeth Community. Trimble has been with Saint Elizabeth Home for the past 20 years and will now assume greater responsibility within Saint Elizabeth Community, the parent company.

As chief operating officer, all the operating entities of Saint Elizabeth Community will report to Trimble, and he will play an active role in the design and implementation of greenhouses at Saint Elizabeth Home, said Steven J. Horowitz, president and CEO of Saint Elizabeth Community. Trimble currently serves as administrator of Saint Elizabeth Home, and he will continue serving as administrator until a new administrator is hired and transitioned.

He began his career with Saint Elizabeth Home in Providence, as an intern on the memory care unit in 1994. He was promoted to Administrator in 1998 and oversaw the building of the new Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich in 2001 and the move of residents from Providence to East Greenwich.

Career and professional highlights include a 2012 Theta II Class, graduate of Leadership Rhode Island; chair of board for LeadingAge RI (previously served as vice chair, treasurer and secretary); An active member of (and professionally certified by) the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of ACHCA and has previously served as vice president and treasurer. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in health management and policy, Trimble lives in Burrillville with his wife and two children.
