Valerie Coupe, 62, of East Greenwich, passed away on July 7, 2016. She was the devoted partner of Joseph Gavin and loving mother of Christian Coupe.
Valerie was employed for many years at General Dynamics, graduated from CCRI as well as Pilgrim High School. Her childhood years spent in Gaspee Point were some of her happiest. She was an engaging conversationalist and more important, a good listener. Valerie was a devoted sister and friend; as well as a gifted cook who celebrated every holiday at her home with family and friends. Her door and generous heart was open to all, especially to those of whom fortune and luck did not shine upon.
Survivors also include her brother Richard, his wife, Colleen, her sister Victoria, her husband, Mark, her uncle Jack Rossi, her grandchild, Caden Coupe, her niece Andrea and husband, Waylon Duff, her nephew George Williams; and great niece, Adeline Duff. Also grieving is her loving caregiver, Jean (Wall) Ehrler; and friends Carol Morse, Jean McGowan and Kenny Pierce. Valerie was predeceased by her mother, Gloria (Rossi) Henry; and nephew Daniel Bell, Jr.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will be private. Visiting hours, Tuesday 5-8 pm.
