Veterans Count to benefit from sale of Nepalese rugs

Posted

Tiger Rug Co. in Warwick will donate 10 percent of all gross receipts from now through March 31 from rug sales to Veterans Count Rhode Island or Easter Seals RI when a customer mentions either organization during the sale.

Tiger Rug Co., 380 Jefferson Blvd. sells hand-knotted oriental carpets. Tiger Rug Co. was established in 2000 and imports carpets from Nepal, which uses the “finest wool” for weaving.

Not only will the organization donate 10 percent of sale receipts, but Tiger Rug Co. will also donate a like-sized carpet from each purchase to a veteran’s household, chosen by Veterans Count.

Easter Seals RI is an organization working with children and young adults with disabilities and or special needs through various programs and services. Veterans Count Rhode Island is a branch of Easter Seals focusing on providing financial assistance and agency referrals for local veterans.

“My wife, Elizabeth, and I feel very strongly about giving back to our proud service men and women,” said Tiger Rug Co. Owner Stephen Putney said in a statement, “Over the course of history, our freedoms have been hard-won. This is a small token of our appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice made every day by these men and women and their families to protect and defend our country.”

The fundraiser will run from now until March 31 of this year.

For more information about Tiger Rug Co. visit their store at 380 Jefferson Boulevard or go to their website at www.tigerrug.net.

Nice to hear that a rug company makes their donation to go towards disable or special children. There is a store homebrandsusa.com they also deals in rugs and other home decor.
