Walk for Wishes is Sunday at Warwick Mall

For the fourth consecutive year, Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island will host their Walk for Wishes at Warwick Mall this Sunday.

Twenty-seven years ago, Make-A-Wish began granting the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses to help them see joy, and happiness during their times of struggle. Since its inception Make-A-Wish has granted 7,000 wishes for children in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts area.

The walk, which is on Sunday, March 22, will be hosted indoors at Warwick Mall. The kid-friendly event will feature face-painting, balloon animals, a photo booth, coloring station and a DJ. Frozen’s Elsa and Anna as well as Nibbles Woodaway, Rhode Island’s famous Big Blue Bug, will make appearances at the event. All proceeds from the vent will go to helping Make-A-Wish grant children’s wishes.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the walk starting at 9:15 a.m. at Warwick Mall. Adult tickets are $25 and tickets for anyone 18 and younger are $10. For more information on the walk visit www.walkforwishesri.kintera.org.
