Leo’s Tires jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in game one of the night’s doubleheader, and never looked back.  Leo’s strong hitting accounted for 13 hits and 10 runs on the night. Leading Leo’s hitting attack were: Vito Vinciguerra, who had two hits in game one – one of his hits was a two-run double. Vito also scored a run. Other key contributors were: Tyler Picozzi Yates, who had two hits (one a triple) and three RBI. Mike Nichols had two hits, two runs and one RBI and Dylan Raddock had two hits and two RBIs. Aiden Sullivan hit a triple, scored two times and drove in one run and Gary Dombeck had one hit, a walk and a run scored to help Leo’s to victory.

Chase Pariseau and Kenny Rix led the Brennan’s hitting attack with two hits each. Pariseau added a triple and two RBIs. Rix added a double and one RBI. Brennan’s Aaron Narcavage added a double and three runs scored and Dom Brazeau added a double and one RBI in a losing effort.

Leo’s Vinciguerra pitched four innings, giving up one earned run and striking out two.

Game two of the doubleheader was decided with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the score tied at 5, Aaron Narcavage hit a single to center. Narcarvage then stole second and advanced to third on an overthrow by the catcher that tried to throw him out. With a runner at third and one out, Domenick Brazeau drove in the game-winning run with a line drive to right center.  

Narcavage and Brazeau both had two hits in game two of the doubleheader. Narcavage, in addition to his hits, scored two runs and stole two bases. DJ Sollitto hit a double, walked and scored two runs in the Brennan victory.

Tyler Picozzi Yates, Gary Dombeck and Colin Lemieux all had key hits for Leo’s. Picozzi Yates had one hit, a walk and a run scored. Dombeck hit a double that drove in a run, and he later came around to score, while Lemieux hit a double that drove in two runs.

Savage and Savage    7

Degiulio Insurance came away with a hard-fought 14-7 victory in game one of a doubleheader. Ethan Cunetta, Kaidin McGirr, and Jared Reminder each had three hits on the night. Reminder hit two doubles and a home run. Having two-hit games for Degiulio were: Mark Woods, Max Turner and Dylan Bourette.

Ben Moorby pitched a solid game for Degiulio.

The Savage and Savage offense was led by Thomas D’Andrea. D’Andrea had three hits on the night, one of which was a double.

Stephen Souilliere had two hits and Jack Hornstein homered for Savage and Savage.

Savage and Savage won game two of the doubleheader behind the strong pitching of Anthony Blade, who pitched four innings. In addition to pitching well, Blade went 2-for-3 at the plate. 

Dan Riccio had three hits on the night, including a double, and Jack Hornstein went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Jared Reminder and Max Turner each had two hits for Degiulio. Both of Reminder’s hits were doubles.

Coastway           6,                               

Donelan’s           1

In game one of a doubleheader, Coastway held a potent Donelan’s offense scoreless over the first four innings behind a stellar pitching performance from Thomas Sullivan. Nick Follett came in and pitched two innings, giving up one run and earning the save for Coastway. Coastway’s offense was led by Dante Wilding, who went for 2-for-2 with a single and a double. Coastway also had hits from Ethan Diffley, Aiden Boisse and Connor Hausman. Eric Shaw made an over the head catch, and Colby Barker was outstanding at third base to spearhead the defense. Donelan’s had solid pitching efforts by Sean Gallagher and John Proccancini. Donelan’s offense was led by Harry Grimes, who had a double, and Dylan Gallagher, Jalen Dennis and John Proccacini, who each recorded a single.

In game two of the doubleheader, Donelan’s jumped out to an early two-run lead in the top of the first inning on runs scored by Dylan Gallagher and Cullen McGrew. Coastway battled back to take the lead on two hits and two RBIs from Brendan McCaffrey and a towering two-run home run into the outfield trees by Mike Borges.  

Donelan’s would rally late on a hit from Sean Gallagher and a run by Matt Lynch. Donelan’s rally was thwarted by a diving catch by Coastway second baseman Nick Follett that ended the inning.  

Coastway received a strong pitching performance from Aiden Viveiros, Dante Wilding and Madison Gunderway in the win.

Leo’s Colin Lemieux blasted two home runs, which resulted in six RBIs to lead Leo’s to victory. Gary Dombeck and Fernando Geronimo both had a hit, a walk, a run scored and an RBI to help the Leo offense. Tyler Picozzi Yates and Mike Nichols also had hits on the night. Gary Dombeck gave up two hits and no earned runs, while striking out three batters in a solid pitching performance for Leo’s.

Ethan Foster had two hits and two RBI for Donelan’s.

Savage and Savage  9,                               

Coastway                     2

Savage and Savage’s Will Morrisette pitched five strong innings, striking out five and not allowing a run. Morrisette also went 2-for-3 on the night with a single, a double, two RBIs and one run scored.

Eric Tamboe hit a home run and scored twice and Bobby Vale hit a double, had two RBIs and scored for Savage and Savage.

Dante Wilding led all Coastway hitters, going 2-for-3 with a double. Connor Hausman added a hit, and Madison Gunderway and Aiden Viveiros both scored runs. Colby Barker celebrated his birthday by pitching well for Coastway. Mike Borges and Brendan McCaffrey also pitched well.

Two of the top 12-year-old pitchers in the league faced off in a regular season match-up, and neither pitcher disappointed. Jared Reminder and Noah Sullivan both pitched excellent games. Reminder allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out seven. Sullivan allowed one run and two hits while striking out eight batters.

Brennan’s offense struck first by scoring two runs in the first inning. Dom Brazeau started the inning with a one-out triple. Brazeau scored the first run of the game on a single by Kenny Rix. Brennan’s Chase Pariseau would score the game’s second run on an infield error on a ball struck by DJ Sollitto.

Degiulio would respond with a run of its own in the bottom of the first. Dylan Bourret started the inning off with a walk and Jared Reminder hit a two-out double to score Bourret and cut Brennan’s lead to one. Over the course of the next few innings, the pitchers were both solid, as neither gave up a run.  

Brennan’s would add an insurance run in the top of the sixth on a Rix single that plated Aaron Narcavage. Joey Izzi had two hits for Brennan’s on the night.

Savage and Savage’s Thane Denton pitched 5.1 strong innings, allowing four runs. In addition to solid pitching, Denton had two hits with three RBIs at the plate. Thomas D’Andrea had two hits, scored three runs and had one RBI. In addition to hitting well, D’Andrea also played strong defense at shortstop. Bryan Denton added a double and two RBIs for the winning team.

Leading Leo’s Tires’ offense was Gary Dombeck, who had two hits, one of which was a double, while scoring a run and adding an RBI. Colin Lemieux also had two hits for Leo’s.

Brennan’s Braces    12,                      

Donelan’s                    0

Kenny Rix, Brendan Rooney and DJ Sollitto combined to pitch a two-hit shutout for Brennan’s Braces.  

Domenic Brazeau had two hits, a walk, two RBI and three runs scored. Rix had a single, a walk and two RBIs, while Aaron Narcavage had a double, a walk, and two runs scored. DJ Sollitto, Jeriel Garcia, Brendan Rooney, Bobby Court and Chris Scalzo also had a hit in the winning effort.

Harry Dolan and Jalen Dennis had hits for Donelan’s.
