Kenny Rix had a double, triple, walk and three RBIs and Joey Izzi and Dom Brazeau (two doubles) both had three hits each and combined for four RBIs in a recent contest against Coastway. Jeriel Garcia and Chase Pariseau had two hits each to contribute to the Brennan hitting attack.

Coastway’s Mike Borges had a home run, a single and three RBIs to lead his team. Dante Wilding had two hits, a walk and three runs scored. One of his hits was a double. Colby Barker and Conner Hausman both had doubles for Coastway.

Savage and Savage  7,

The game was scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when Savage and Savage scored three runs.

Savage and Savage’s Will Morisette went 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and one run scored. Stephen Souilliere also had two hits and a run scored to help S and S to victory.

Anthony Blade pitched a complete game shutout, allowing three hits while striking out five.

Degiulio Ins.     10,

Leo’s Tire jumped out to an early 8-3 lead in this Memorial Day matchup, but the lead would not hold, as Degiulio would come back to score seven unanswered runs to win.

Leo scored early and often on the strong hitting performance of Tyler Picozzi Yates. Picozzi Yates went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. Mike Nichols added a double, a walk and three RBI and Gary Dombeck added a triple, RBI and run scored. Aiden Sullivan scored three times for Leo.

Degiulio’s stormed back from a five-run deficit behind Jared Reminder’s two solo home runs. Max Turner, Jacob Longton and Ethan Cunetta each contributed two hits for Degiulio. J.J. Tourgee and Ben Moorby each had a hit and two RBIs for the winning team.

Moorby pitched scoreless 5th and 6th innings to record the save for Degiulio.

Brennan’s Braces   5,

In a battle for first place, Brennan’s Braces won both games of the night’s doubleheader, clinching Warwick North Little League’s first regular season championship. Kenny Rix was stellar on the mound for Brennan’s. Rix pitched a complete game shutout, while giving up two hits and striking out nine batters.  

Game one had much excitement as Rix and Savage’s Thane Denton engaged in a great pitching duel. Denton pitched five scoreless innings for Savage and Savage. Over the course of those innings, Denton gave up one hit, a walk and struck out five batters. It was in the top of the sixth that the Brennan bats finally got to Denton. DJ Sollitto led off the inning with a walk and stole second. An overthrow of second base allowed Sollitto to advance to third base. Sollitto scored the game’s first run on a single by Noah Sullivan. Brennan’s would go on to score four more runs in the inning on a couple of walks and a big hit by Chris Scalzo.

Rix retired the side in the bottom of the sixth inning, tallying two more strikeouts to secure the shutout and Brennan win.

Thane Denton and Jack Hornstein had the two hits for Savage and Savage.

In game two of the night’s doubleheader, Brennan’s scored seven runs on eight hits and five walks to earn the victory. Brennan’s had two hits each by Bobby Court and Aaron Narcavage. Dom Brazeau, Kenny Rix, Joey Izzi, DJ Sollitto and Chris Scalzo all had hits as well.

Savage and Savage’s Thane Denton had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in game two. Will Morrisette had a triple and an RBI and Bryan Denton added a single.

Dom Brazeau pitched a solid game for Brennan’s, pitching 5 1/3 innings, surrendering three runs on four hits while striking out six batters. Noah Sullivan recorded the final two outs of the game to earn the save.

Will Morrisette pitched 4 2/3 innings for Savage and Savage.

Coastway 5,

Coastway’s Mike Borges had a double, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead his team to victory. Dante Wilding added a triple and a run scored. Madison Gunderway added a hit and two RBIs and Brendan McCaffrey had a hit and a run scored.

Leo’s Tire was led by Colin Lemieux, who had a double, two walks, two runs scored and an RBI. Geronimo Fernando also had a double for Leo’s.

Tom Sullivan pitched well for Coastway, going 4 1/3 innings, while giving up two earned runs on five hits while striking out five. Dante Wilding pitched 1 2/3 innings and struck out three batters to earn the save.

Coastway      6,

Game two of this doubleheader was a closely contested battle that would not be decided until the bottom of the 7th inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning, with Coastway trailing by one, Tom Sullivan and Nick Follett worked walks. Sullivan and Follett advanced to second and third respectively, on a wild pitch. Aiden Viveros drove in the tying and winning runs with a one-out single to lead Coastway to victory.

Leo’s Colin Lemieux pitched five solid innings, giving up two runs on four hits while striking out eight. Coastway had five different pitchers contribute to its victory. Nick Follett was the winning pitcher.

Dante Viveiros led Coastway with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Colby Barker added a single and two RBIs.

Leo’s Tire had contributions from Travis Reiss, who had two hits, a walk and a run scored. Colin Lemieux added a double and two RBIs.
