The first of two events concluding the Warwick Symphony Orchestra’s 2014-15 concert season will be held Thursday, May 28 at the Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Featuring a tribute to The Golden Age of Broadway, under the direction of conductor Catherine Gagnon, the second Spring Pops Series performance will be held on June 7 at the Goddard Memorial State Park Carousel, 1095 Ives Road, East Greenwich, starting at 2 p.m.
Performances feature a wide variety of music including selections from “My Fair Lady,” the overture for Concert Orchestra from “Showboat,” and music from “Guys and Dolls,” amongst others.
Tickets are $10 for general admission; children under 12 are free and are available at the door or online through www.WSOri.org- follow the link to Brown Paper Tickets.
Additionally, the Warwick Symphony Orchestra will be featured in a free concert at Pawtuxet Park, 2 East View Street, preceding the Gaspee Days 50th Anniversary Fireworks celebration on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, June 6.
