Why Allan and Buddy

To the Editor:

Election Day will soon be upon us and hopefully our candidates are ready to be hired. They must bear one thing in mind, “Experience only need apply.” They are paid a salary for their service and we don’t like paying salaries to unworthy politicians; we certainly shouldn’t hire anyone “on the job training.” We should demand, “Experience only need apply.”

This is the problem with one nation; an inexperienced president we certainly didn’t need. Experience is the best and only quality that is right and should be demanded in R.I. when electing the candidates, and this is the reason, or at least one of the reasons, our state will always be “poor little Rhode Island.”

The voters of R.I. should be concentrating on experienced candidates to do the job we pay them for.

Experience, experience, experience says, and means, success. Our state is in a mess, along with the rest of this nation. Politicians say they want to fix our state. I believe that we, the voters, want to fix our state by electing the right people with experience and with proof – good, honest proof – and “the proof is in the pudding.”

I’m speaking out in good taste of former Mayor Cianci, the candidate who can take our capitol city and breathe life into it once more. It’s our number one city and once more needs to be revived, and only one person has the experience, the desire and the satisfactory results to compliment our state.

Second major neglect to be corrected is our state, poor little Rhode Island, and change that old title to “great little Rhode Island.” There is another candidate that has the great desire, and most importantly the great experience, to change our state and reveal the beauty of R.I. and its location to attract tourist visitors and create jobs by taking advantage of our state’s location.

We are the suburbs of New York. We have the beautiful coastline of beaches and we are a few hours away from our neighbor states of New England, and for winter sports, especially, minutes away from Boston. The location of our state is a great advantage to the travel industry for winter and summer.

Cranston Mayor Allan Fung created over 1,000 jobs and he will bring the state of R.I. up to where it should be. Great Little Rhody, or Great Little Rhode Island, is what we should be, and should have been years ago.

Ironically, Democrats are their own worst enemy. Every election, they agree with the voters that we’re in a mess, again and again. In reality, who keeps getting re-elected? What party keeps getting voted in? And yet, Democratic candidates, at election time, want to run, get elected and cry our state is a mess! They had the upper hand more than independents and Republicans. Why do they cry so much that the state and country has problems? Obviously their “upper hand” must be damaged; it doesn’t help our country or state at all – it makes it worse.

As I said previously, the people of R.I. have to change our state for the better and it starts with us, not the politicians with no experience.

They believe that because they worked in a high official office, they have experience for any other job they feel they can tackle – nonsense! Sometimes their ego gets in the way of their desire to climb up the ladder too fast, that’s when they “aim from the hip and shoot themselves in the foot.”

So voters of Rhode Island, let’s change our state by electing the two most qualified people, the two people who are doers and have evidence of their accomplishments, Cianci and Fung.

We need experienced men to do the job. They are the best and most competent with experience, Mayor Allan Fung and former Mayor Cianci!

People of Providence and the entire state of R.I., let’s all jump in the pool together and be proud to yell, “We all did it together, we changed R.I. for the better, once and for all!”

And change the “Poor Little Rhode Island” to “Great Little Rhode Island!”

Stupid people should have their crayons taken from them. Buddy mortgaged Providence's future at the expense of the taxpayers today. If your going to give out 5-6% COLA's to your firefighters and police you have to fund them. Something he did miserable little of. Fung is alright and has a good chance at landing my vote. Buddy is a sociopath that knows no other way than to be a crook. It is irresponsible to print a letter from someone so uninformed or so morally corrupt. Oh, did I mention that in my experience a man leaving office in disgrace twice doesn't deserve the job a third time. I'm very happy Marie B. Badessa and many of Buddy's supporters don't live in Providence any more.
