Why Romney

To the Editor:

The poll that said that the candidate with the most primary votes should get the Republican nomination for president is obviously not a reliable poll.

Republican voter turnout in New York was only 31 percent. In New York, 1.7 million registered Republican voters did not bother to vote. The Republican delegates in Cleveland should select the most qualified Republican. The Republican with the most experience running for president is Mitt Romney. Trump has shown that he does not understand the primary election process and he still hasn’t established a qualified staff to run his campaign.

    Mr. Berwick,

Appreciate your sentiments, but the reason Romney is an experienced candidate is that he has an abundance of experience...losing! I think you're a few weeks out of date with Trump's staff, as he now has some highly effective professionals on board. The only candidate from either party with a constitutional foundation for his proposals is Ted Cruz. Without this constitutional foundation, our government continues to enact arbitrary laws and policies which have fundamentally weakened the country.

Mitt Romney has a record of bringing people of all political persuasions together to solve major problems. As a leader and a pastor in his church, as the leader of the 2002 Winter Olympics and as Governor of Massachusetts, Romney persuaded people to work together to solve major problems. In the 2014 United States Senate elections, Mitt travelled to many states raising money and supporting Republican candidates which allowed the Republican Party to take control of the United States Senate. The voting record in 2014 showed that the Republican Establishment in Washington had broad support among Republican voters nationwide. Romney lost in 2012 because Evangelical voters did not realize that Romney’s values were the same as Evangelical values and because the Media allowed President Obama to pull the Wool over the eyes of many voters in the United States.
