Abortion is destroying America

To the Editor:

Wake-up America, in 2017 alone, over 900,000 innocent unborn babies were aborted in the United States. While worldwide the number of fellow babies killed by abortion was approximately 56 million. The number of innocent babies being murdered in the womb since Roe vs. Wade in 1973 in America, is over 60 million. When is the insanity going to end? The reality of abortion is brutal, barbaric, ugly, sickening and, most of all, deadly. We the People of our nation need to challenge ourselves and our conscience to glimpse at what abortion looks like, and not shy away but commit ourselves to make a difference. We need more than ever today, to have an ongoing, peaceful, prayerful presence at every abortion mill across the country.

We need powerful, relentless ongoing political pressure to be exerted on local, state and national representatives to pass legislation that will protect all innocent unborn babies no exception. Remember, there is never – ever – a good reason to kill an innocent unborn baby. None!

In her Nobel Peace Prize speech, Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct murder by the mother herself, because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for me to kill you and you to kill me. Isn’t that what’s happening all too frequently today? St. Mother Teresa went on to say, If abortion is not wrong, nothing is wrong. Abortion is like having too many flowers.

In 1994 Mother Teresa attended the National Prayer Day Breakfast in Washington, D.C. Not by accident, Mother sat beside First Lady Hillary Clinton. The conversation was reported that Mrs. Clinton asked Mother if she thought there would ever be a woman president? Mother responded, “Yes, we already had one, but she was aborted”

So, when you drop to your knees tonight to pray, pray for the end of this horrific scourge that is destroying America. Otherwise, to ask God Bless America, will become God Less America. God Help Us!

I will join you in prayer....

I will pray that everyone can live in a world where they do not pass judgement on others for their decisions.

I will pray that no one other than myself has to live by my moral compas.

I will pray that all women have the choice to decide what it right for them.

I hope you will join me.

Ah, the ever passionate defender of unborn children that have scant regard for women actually having control over their own bodies. Sometimes a pregnancy could mean life or death for the mother too but there is no empathy nor understanding from the anti-abortion side. You can disagree with abortion. You can even protest abortion. But the moment when you decide to change the laws to control someone else's ability to make medical decisions over their own body is where the line is drawn. One day I hope there is a law that forces the hand of men when it comes to their own body. See how it is to have everyone and the government have a say in how you live your life and the care you receive.

What kind of a person would choose to murder her own unborn child? Truly my heart goes out to such people, especially because I myself recall the reckless nature of the selfish & pragmatic mindset I had as as young adult.

A number of years ago, I had the privilege to speak face to face with a young women who was planning to abort her child. After much hand-wrenching consideration, and because I wanted to prevent a beautiful life from being snuffed out, I personally offered to adopt her child, with my spouse. I was overjoyed that she immediately shared with us how much she wanted to KEEP her baby, but that her family (and boyfriend) were pressuring her to abort. That day, we cried together, and shared her hopes and dreams for the beautiful child she could have. And a month later, she gave birth to the most beautiful curly haired, blue eyed boy the world has ever know. As a single mother, it has not been easy for her. Her family supports her as best they can. That day her son was conceived she made a choice. And she made a second choice for love when she gave birth. Two beautiful CHOICES.

Yet every mother HAS a right to choose. The only unselfish choice every mother

    Tom,

You can never, EVER know what women go through when faced with various medical issues and pregnancy. You have no place in that discussion nor any permission to chime in on any of the choices. Your opinion and stance are never part of the equation. Calling a woman selfish because they have to make life and death choices shows your lack of compassion and understanding. I hope you are never in that position because there are times when things aren't always black or white.
