AIDS Care Ocean State (ACOS), Eat Drink RI, Rhode Island Monthly and Cox Media invite Rhode Islanders to take part in the newest local tasting event, not-to-be-missed, That's Amore! on Feb. 1 at Skyline at Waterplace in Providence. That's Amore! is a wine, beer, spirits and food tasting charity event at Skyline at Waterplace located in the heart of downtown Providence. The event is designed to raise funds and awareness for ACOS' mission of providing quality housing, case management, medical and nursing care, and prevention to adults, families, adolescents, and children who are affected by or at risk of HIV infection.

More than 30 local restaurants, bars, and vendors will provide tempting samples for guests. This year's vendors include Tito's Handmade Vodka, Sweenor's Chocolates, Fire Works Catering, Sage Cellars, Narragansett Brewery, Brutopia Brewery, Cozy Catering, The Backyard Food Company and many more.

Tickets are $50 for general admission and $80 for VIP reception and can be purchased at AIDSCareOS.org. Limited tickets will also be available for purchase at the door. VIP Entrance begins at 5PM and General Admission begins at 6PM. VIP guests will be treated to exclusive tastings and a complimentary champagne toast provided by Gasbarro's Wines.

“That's Amore! will be a great event,” said David Dadekian, President of Eat Drink RI. “Supporting HIV/AIDS causes has been near and dear to my heart since living in New York City and working in the entertainment industry during the 90s. I've seen first-hand how terrible this disease can be. I've been fortunate to see how supportive the community is that provides care and resources to those living with HIV/AIDS. Eat Drink RI is thrilled to support ACOS in their mission and extend a helping hand and know-how to make this event a great success!”

“As a business professional in the City of Providence for the past 20 years, and currently the Director of Sales and Events at Providence’s newest and hottest event venue, Skyline at Waterplace, I am proud to continue to support the efforts and programs of AIDS Care Ocean State.” Added Scott Connery, “The organization holds various events at Skyline annually, and we are proud to be their partner. As a venue, we will always be committed to helping Non-Profit Organizations be able to host successful and profitable events at Skyline."

“Events like That's Amore! allow our agency to reach a diverse group of individuals that may not be directly impacted by HIV/AIDS,” said George Evans Marley, ACOS Director of Development. “Education, prevention and outreach are keys to stopping the spread of HIV in our state. Along with working towards reducing the new infection rates to zero, it's important to not forget the more than 3,000 individuals currently living with HIV here in Rhode Island. ACOS cares for and houses more clients than any other HIV agency in Rhode Island and support from this event will allow us to continue to provide the high level of care and respect our clients deserve.”
