Albert R. Aunchman

Albert R. Aunchman, 75, a retired Providence school teacher passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Jane L. (Vescera) Aunchman for 52 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Raymond A. and Noella (St. Pierre) Aunchman. He was a school teacher for various schools for the Providence School Department before retiring in 1995 and a communicant and CCD Coordinator for St. Benedict Church. Albert was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

Albert was the loving father of Michael A. Aunchman (Joanne), Raymond M. Aunchman, Jonathan A. Aunchman and Christopher M. Aunchman (Lisa). Loving grandfather of: Brian, Brendan, Dylan, Gianna, Joseph and Arianna Aunchman. He was the brother of Suzanne Tetzner and William Aunchman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Albert was the loving owner of his devoted pet dog Nanook who passed away in January.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 p.m.
