Allegiant Airlines will begin offering nonstop service to
Savannah, GA (Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport) from T.F. Green Airport starting June 6, the Rhode Island Airport Corporation announced this week. Flights will run twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. With this announcement, Allegiant now offers three destinations from T.F. Green, including Cincinnati and Punta Gorda/Ft. Myers.
"We are extremely pleased with Allegiant's announcement that they are expanding operations here at T.F. Green. Rhode Islanders and regional
travelers will now have an additional low fare option to Savannah. We hope Allegiant can continue to grow and be successful here and that Rhode Islanders will support these routes," said Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
"On behalf of the board of directors, we appreciate Allegiant's ongoing commitment to expand at T.F. Green. We strongly encourage Rhode Islanders to take advantage of the introductory fares," Jonathan Savage, chair of RIAC's Board of Directors said in a statement.
The addition of Savannah brings the total non-stop routes to 28 from a low of 17 in 2015. Travelers can reserve tickets for the Savannah route immediately at www.allegiantair.com. Allegiant will utilize 177-seat Airbus 320's to support this route.
