Andrew J. Martin, 19, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was the beloved son of Tim and Cathy (Carney) Martin and the devoted brother of Brendan T. Martin.
Diagnosed at the age of 3 with Ataxia-Telangiectasia, Andrew refused to let the disease keep him from living a full life. He enjoyed swimming, and skiing as well as other adaptive sports. He attended Warwick Veterans High School, graduating from Pilgrim High School in 2017, and had started classes at CCRI. He had a very deep faith and was very active in Sts. Rose and Clement Parish where he was a member of the Parish Youth Ministry and enjoyed attending the Steubenville East Youth Conference. He loved all sports, but had a passion for Alabama Football and the New England Patriots. Spending time with family and friends gave him great joy.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Albert Martin, Heidi Bouchard, Barbara Mason, Wayne Moore, Marylou Taito, and was a grandson of the late Maureen Moore and Joseph Carney. His golden retriever, Murphy was his constant companion.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at a 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
