Barbara Ann Fackos, 89, of Warwick died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at West View Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio V. Fackos.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Wallace J. and Gertrude T. (Covill) McAllister. Barbara began her career working for her parent’s women specialty clothing store in Pawtuxet Village called “Gertrude’s” and later worked as a Department Manager at several other clothing stores. She was a graduate of Central High School and was active in the Drama Club where she participated in many performances and enjoyed acting and singing. She was a 60 year member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a member of the choir for many years. She performed in the Melody Bells Chorus and the Warwick Civic Chorale. Barbara enjoyed gardening and also enjoyed boating with her late husband, Antonio.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughters: Victoria A. Fackos of Warwick and Laureen J. Martin (William Levin) of Jamestown; a sister: Patricia A. Pronovost of FL; and several nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Auntie Barbara” and cousins. She was the sister of the late Donald R. McAllister and Dorothea G. Feurer.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 8:45 A.M. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick followed by a Requiem Eucharist at 10 A.M. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 139 Ocean Avenue, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
