Bernardine ‘Dee Dee’ V. (Silvia) Nolan, 67, of Warwick, RI passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2017 at Kent County Hospital with her loving husband, sister and brother-in-law at her side.

She was born in Warwick, RI, a daughter of the late Rose and Oliver Silvia, and was the wife of Thomas Nolan. She attended Warwick Schools, and was a certified nursing assistant for many years until going to work for the Warwick School Department, where she absolutely loved working with children. She was a very compassionate, benevolent person, involved with the Spread Program at St. Rita Church, Warwick, RI, working with disabled adults. After working for the Warwick School Department for greater than 15 years, she retired approximately 5 years ago. Once retired, she enjoyed vacations with her husband, crafts, sewing, spending time with her dogs and cat, family get togethers’, and shopping excursions with her beloved sister Patty.

She is survived by her beloved husband Tom Nolan; sister Patricia Gallo, RN and her husband Anthony of Massachusetts; brother William and the late John ‘Butch’ Silvia, and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 am in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Information and condolences, visit TheQuinnFuneralHome.com
