Beverly A. Barnes, age 86, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Kent County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Ernest G. and Sadie L. (Foskey) Barnes, she lived in Warwick for most of her life. She was a graduate of Gorton High School in Warwick, and the RI School of Practical Nursing. Ms. Barnes was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Women & Infant’s Hospital for 42 years, retiring from its nursery in July 1995. She enjoyed traveling, the beach, her cat “Blu,” and the Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by a sister, Carol A. McDougal; two nieces: Tracy A. Pagnozzi (Gennaro) and Holly J. McDougal; a nephew, Andrew K. McDougal (Kimberly Vadenais); and a grandniece, Victoria.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
