The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 3 (Warwick Avenue) and Route 29 (Cowesset/Kent County) on Saturday, July 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to accommodate the 50th Anniversary Moon Landing Parade.
The following detours will be in effect on July 20, 2019:
Route 3 (Warwick Avenue):
Inbound trips
will travel the regular route to Stokes Street, turn right onto Stokes Street, left onto Bellman Avenue, left onto Dudley Avenue, right onto West Shore Road and then resume regular route.
Outbound trips
will travel the regular route to Dudley Avenue, turn left onto Dudley Avenue, right onto Bellman Avenue, right onto Stokes Street, left onto West Shore Road and then resume regular route.
Route 29 (Cowesset/Kent County):
Eastbound trips
will travel the regular route to Church Avenue, left onto Beach Avenue, turn around at the stop and then resume regular route.
Westbound trips
will travel the regular route to Beach Street, turn right onto Beach Avenue, right onto Church Avenue, and then resume regular route.
