Carolann M. Nicolace-Silva passed away unexpectedly in the Jane Brown building at Rhode Island Hospital late on Saturday evening, May 12th, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Nicolace and Lucille (Parrillo) Nicolace.

She is survived by her son, Ryan Nicolace, and her husband, Manuel Silva, along with her siblings Diana D’Amico, Alfred (Nicky) Nicolace, Marjorie Poulin, Michael Nicolace, and Kerri Nicolace. She also had a great many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for very much, as though they were her own children.

Born in Providence, Carolann resided in Warwick and Las Vegas during her childhood, and North Kingstown after becoming a mother, before becoming a resident of Charlestown for the past 28 years in a home she loved dearly, that she shared with her son and husband, along with three beloved dogs whom she hoped to be reunited with in her passing.

Carolann was both fierce and loving, treating even strangers as family, and wished to be a friend and mother to everyone she met. Helping those in need was her calling, her life devoted to giving and charity in the true spirit of her lifelong Catholic faith. She persisted in all of this despite battles with adversity and tragedy, overcoming them through strength, hope and love. She will be missed by many.

Visiting hours were on Tuesday, May 22nd at Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home in North Kingstown.
