Carolyn A. (Reynolds) Scott age 86, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late George M. Scott, Jr.
She was the beautiful daughter of Chester Sheffield Reynolds and Myrtle Lena (Mather) Reynolds. Professionally she worked at Sears for 15 years, retired from the United States Postal Service after 12 years, and worked at J C Penney for 5 years. She lived her life with adventure and amazement. She found wonder and beauty in the life she lived. To name a few of her passions: she loved the snow, her dogs, the turning of the leaves in fall, spending her time with her family, and doing wonderful playful things with family especially to her husband. Their lives together was a great love story. We have been truly blessed that she was our Mom. What she loved the most was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was the greatest mom to Linda C. Petrarca and husband, Robert E. Petrarca, George M. Scott III, Steven C. Scott, Randolph L. Scott and wife Karmen Scott and Tina A. Scott; sister of the late Evelyn (Sis) Reynolds, William A. Reynolds, and Chester A. Reynolds. She is survived by 11 loving grandchildren and was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 9:00 am at the Thomas Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Her final resting place will be with her husband at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours are Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4-7 pm.
