Dave’s Auto Service Use caution when driving this winter

Snow. Freezing, windblown rain. Sub-zero temperatures. Black ice. Slush and more snow! As New Englanders, we have seen all these winter weather conditions. New England weather wreaks havoc on our vehicles and, even though we have been spared these brutal conditions so far this year, there is still a lot of winter ahead of us. There is no avoiding it, the cold and conditions of winter have a negative impact on cars in countless ways. Just ask Dave Rickey, the owner and operator of Dave’s Auto Service in Warwick.

Dave Rickey, who has been the sole owner and technician of his auto repair shop for nearly forty years, has seen his share of the damage that cold weather and the resultant harsh driving conditions can cause to vehicles. He has seen how the ever-important motor oil thickens in the cold. He has seen how heaters delay an engine from warming up, putting it at risk. He has seen engine blocks crack due to frozen coolant. He has seen how constantly hitting Rhode Island’s famous potholes can affect the alignment of your car’s steering system. The problems go on and on ~ but none are too big or too small for this longtime mechanic.

Dave’s Auto Service, located not far from the intersection of Warwick Avenue and Park Avenue, offers a long list of automotive repair services that includes everything from replacing your engine-protecting anti-freeze to total engine repairs. Dave also performs more specialized repairs such as front-end alignments of those ever-important front wheel drive vehicles and the replacement of clutches. He has equipped his shop with state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic tools that help him service your vehicle with the right information and the right expertise.

Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience will save you time and money when it comes to maintaining and servicing your automobile. Dave has spent his whole career building relationships with his customers; they trust him. His personal name is on every detail of his work. He has not remained in business all these years by doing anything less than exceptional work. His name is synonymous with efficiency, reliability, affordability and quality car service.

Of Dave’s work, customer Lee of Providence writes: “I’ve been going to Dave for about a year now. He gives you a fair deal and knows how to explain everything. He doesn’t try to trick you. He is a no-nonsense kind of guy.”

With all the competition for auto repair shops out there, the only way to ensure the best care for your vehicle is to go with the guy with experience, knowledge and good old-fashioned values. That guy is Dave Rickey.
