David M. Bodah has been named the executive director of the American Heart Association in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
Bodah’s primary responsibilities will include identifying, recruiting and engaging strong volunteer leadership; managing a high performing staff team and collaborating with internal and external partners to inspire involvement and shared ownership of the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association.
“I am deeply honored to be selected as the Executive Director and to be able to lead an amazing local board of directors and staff of dedicated and respected individuals who are committed to help improve the health of our communities,” Bodah said in a statement.
Prior to coming to the American Heart Association, Bodah was the Director of External Relations for Meeting Street.
“The American Heart Association is very fortunate to have drawn someone of David’s caliber to our senior management team,” said Jamie Devlin, Senior Vice President, American Heart Association. “His extensive experience and passion for our cause will help steer the organization toward further success in the fight against heart disease and stroke.”
Bodah earned his MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
