Donald M. Lyford

Donald M. Lyford, 94, of Warwick died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at West View Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Ellenor B. (Kirkconnell) Lyford.

Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Francis and Alice (Bates) Lyford. Donald retired as a Supervisor from Narragansett Electric Company after many years of service. An honorable veteran of World War II, he served as a Seabee in the US Navy. Donald was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Warwick and served as a Senior Warden and a Junior Warden and also served on the Church Vestry and was a member of the choir.

In addition to his beloved wife, Donald is survived by his loving children: Glen R. Lyford (Kathy) of North Scituate and Sharyn D. Gillis (Edward) of Warren; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Edith Lyford and Ruth Schroder.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
