Dorothy H. (D’Ambra) Rossi, 90, of Cranston, died on May 23, 2017. She was the wife of the late Hugh F. Rossi.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frank and Leontina (DelBuono) D’Ambra. She lived in New York for many years and also resided in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Illinois, Connecticut, Malta, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, when her husband retired they returned to Cranston, where she was raised. She graduated from Cranston High School in 1944 and from Edgewood Junior College in 1946. She worked for 23 years as Bookkeeper/Traffic Manager at Park Trading Co. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and a speech Judge for the Academic Decathlon of R.I. Dorothy enjoyed the theatre and was a season ticket holder at PPAC, Theater by the Sea and the Newport Dinner Theatre, she also enjoyed playing duplicate bridge. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She leaves a son, Michael H. Rossi, sister-in-law of Joan D’Ambra and William Reilly, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Frank D’Ambra and Beverly Reilly,

Funeral Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home 1895 Broad St., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Paul Church of Edgewood, 30 Warwick Ave., Cranston, RI 02905. Visitation Wednesday morning 8:30-9:30 A.M. Burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, R.I.
