Edith F. "Edie"(Carpenter) Tinagero


Edith F. "Edie"(Carpenter) Tinagero, 85, of Peoria, Arizona died peacefully on May 8, 2012 in her home with her husband by her side.

She was born in Warwick to the late Edith & Clarence Carpenter, she lived there half of her life. She was a member of the Providence Chapter of the Sweet Adelines and the barbershop quartet "Co-Eds of Harmony" in the 1950's and 60's. She worked for several businesses throughout the years such as: the old Union Station in Providence, Harris Furs, Spidel, and Almacs. After getting married, she moved to New York where she was a homemaker. In the 1980's she was a realtor for Century 21 and moved to Ari. after retiring.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Elizabeth. She is survived by her loving husband of 48yrs., Paul F. Tinagero: her daughter Martha and son-in-law, Robert Taylor of Glendale, Ari.: two grandchildren, Grace Marie and James Patrick. Two sisters, Barbara Devoe of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Genevieve Dyer of Warwick, R.I. and two brothers, Clarence Carpenter of Meriden, Conn. and Jeremiah Carpenter of Warwick, R.I.

There will be two memorial Masses to celebrate her life.

The first will be Sunday, June 10th at 9:30 a.m. at St.Catherine of Sienna in Warwick, R.I. The second will be Saturday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Thomas More 6180 W. Utopia Road Glendale, AZ 85308
