On Wednesday night, April 12 at 6 p.m., the East Greenwich High School Wall of Honor will induct their 10th class.
Being honored that night are Gilbert Hempel (Class of 1943); Drusalina Romano-Weild (1949); Colonel Richard Kenyon (1956) and Robert Farrell ( 1974). Also receiving recognition that night are Elaine Mastracchio, who will be given an Appreciation Award, and Suzanne Cienki, a special award for her support of the program.
Friends and family of the honorees are urged to attend this event, which captures some of the flavor of living in East Greenwich when it was a real small town. There will be a reception for all in the cafeteria after the ceremony. The event is free.
The EGHS Wall of Honor is sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway Gammons Realty and Allen Gammons Jr. For more information contact Robert Houghtaling at 230-2246 or Chris Cobain at 398-1562.
