This Friday the Rhode Island Community Food Bank will host its third Empty Bowls, an annual event that brings together more than 900 Rhode Islanders to raise awareness and much-needed funds to ensure that no one in our state goes hungry from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.
General admission is $45 in advance/$50 at the door. The special patron admission is $150 and includes VIP bowl selection and one free drink. Tickets are available at www.rifoodbank.org/emptybowls.
Local pottery and food will be made available at this casual, family-friendly event. Those attending will have the opportunity to choose a handmade artisan bowl as well as taste samples of soup, bread and dessert from 35 local restaurants.
Empty Bowls is possible thanks to the support of Citizens Bank, the Hearty Stew Presenting Sponsor and Media Sponsor, NBC 10. All proceeds from the event benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
