“Take a Step Back in Time” is the theme for South County Museum’s 2019 Family Picnic Day Saturday, June 8 from 10 to 2. Activities include storytelling, dress-up in old fashioned clothing, meet the animals and RI Red chickens on the farm, children’s games from the 1800’s, blacksmithing and letterpress printing demonstrations, tours, flower garden, face painting, as well as antique wagons and automobiles.
Families are encouraged to picnic on the museum grounds during the day. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors or AAA members, and $5 for children 6-12. Free to museum members. South County Museum is located at 115 Strathmore Street in Narragansett.
