From tragedy to transcendence – a Bach tribute

Renowned musician and the United States’ Artistic Ambassador representative, Stephan Hancoff provides a multimedia performance of Bach’s beautiful and tragic life. Hancoff has toured the world and will stop by The Courthouse Center for the Arts on Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m.

Stephan Hancoff has traveled the world sharing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach for a multitude of different diverse audiences. With praise from the Jazz Review Magazine, BBC Music-Mag and the Classical Guitar Magazine, this performance is going to have the essence of Bach that transcends through Hancoff’s incomparable musicianship.

The Courthouse Center for the Arts is a non-profit community-based arts organization located in Kingston. The mission of the Courthouse is to produce and distribute exceptional arts programming, targeting children that would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in many mediums of the arts. The programs are year round and free for children ages 7-17, entertainment, concerts, music events and many classes contribute to funding the free children’s programs. The Courthouse also provides educational opportunities in the arts, local artist monthly gallery exhibits, events and fundraisers for many causes, as well as providing free recording space and time for budding artists. The Courthouse is committed to providing accessible and affordable programming for adults and kids while preserving the beautiful historic Washington County Courthouse as its home.
