Germaine (Leclerc) Bourbon, 94, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. She was the wife of the late Hugh Bourbon.
Born in Quebec City, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Marie Anna (Poirier) Leclerc. Mrs. Bourbon traveled back to her native Quebec every year and would say “Pack me a lunch and I’m ready.”
She was the mother of Marieanne Willis, Hugh Bourbon, Andrew Bourbon and Denise Wynne. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Omer, Gerard, Jacques and Bernadette Leclerc, Gabrielle Emond, Rachelle Leclerc and Marthe Guy; sister in law of the late Arthur and Andrew Bourbon, Adeline Guenet, Katherine, Alfred and James Bourbon.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. at 11a.m. Visitation Saturday, 9-10 a.m. Burial will be private.
