The Bishop Hendricken golf team remained perfect with a pair of wins over Toll Gate and West Warwick on Tuesday afternoon at Warwick Country Club.
The now 13-0 Hawks shot a low score of 148, while Toll Gate (6-5) came away with one win and one loss, recording a 193, 15 strokes better than the Wizards (208).
Hendricken posted the top four scores for the round, as its No. 3 player, Colin Sutyla, posted the best score of the day with a 35. Its No. 1 player, Joey Tucker, wasn’t far behind with a 37, while the Hawks’ No. 2 and No. 4 players, Sean Irons and Claudio Soukamneuth, tied with rounds of 38.
Toll Gate senior Nicole Krause posted the next best score of the 18 golfers that competed, recording a 45 as the Titans’ No. 2 player. Fellow seniors Brent Loring (47), Kevin Browning (49) and Jacob Dickinson (52) also scored for Toll Gate in its second-place effort.
Toll Gate was set to conclude its league schedule with matches against Pilgrim and East Greenwich at Potowomut Golf Club on Wednesday, but results were unavailable at press time.
As for Hendricken, it has one final match against Classical set for today at 3 p.m. at Warwick Country Club.
